Jennith Guertin

BA Hons, MACP

Jennith Guertin comes to Executive Medical Solutions with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology (BA Hons, MACP) and lived experience as her own experience in recovery has helped shape the program. Jennith has previous experience/education in psychology/psychiatry which includes experimental and clinical work at a mood and anxiety disorders research clinic and has experience in pharmaceutical. Jennith has been trained in other related areas including the fundamentals of addiction, neuroscience and the treatment of trauma, and the foundations of compassionate inquiry. Jennith has certification in trauma-informed care.

Jennith is an established recovery coach with extensive experience in facilitating and supporting individuals through the process of overcoming addictions. She has been comprehensively involved in facilitating both group and individual therapeutic recovery work and she approaches her clients from a compassion-based, client-centred perspective.

Dr. Jeffrey Waldman

Psychiatry

Dr. Waldman holds specialist qualifications in Psychiatry and has also obtained subspecialty certification in Forensic Psychiatry.  Practicing in Psychiatry since 2003, Dr. Waldman has over 2 decades of experience developing individualized, comprehensive, and effective community-based treatment plans which provide psychiatric care and substance use disorder treatment while his patients maintain their independence in the community.

 

Dr Waldman is a leader in the mental health community and has provided consultation to the World Psychiatric Association task force on mental health in correctional settings. And remains active in his work developing guidelines positions statements in his roles with the Canadian Psychiatric Association and the Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Dr. Waldman is certified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba to provide opioid agonist therapy (Suboxone).

Christy Perreaux

BSW, RSW

Christy is a licensed social worker providing integrative trauma and addictions therapy for youth and adults.  She has 17 years of experience in case management, program development, and crisis intervention and has spent the last 6 years concentrated on the study of complex trauma. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore the complexities of trauma, substance use, and emotional well-being. Her work honors the intricate connection between mind, body, and environment. 

 

With a foundation in evidence-based care, Christy draws from both somatic and psychotherapeutic modalities to support clients in cultivating awareness, resilience, and embodied healing. Her practice is collaborative —grounded in presence, curiosity, and a deep respect for everyone's unique story. 

 

Christy’s work is profoundly informed by her own journey through trauma and addiction recovery. Whether someone is taking their first steps or returning to inner healing with new intention, Christy is committed to walking alongside them with integrity, empathy, and a wholehearted belief in each person’s capacity to heal and grow.

Laura Lourenco

Client Relations, BN, IET Practitioner

Laura plays an integrative part at Executive Medical Solutions in the client relations role by collaborating with individuals as a liaison for clients navigating the program, to ensure their needs are being met and their recovery program at EMS is being maximized to it's full potential. 

​

She has 9 years of experience in the health care industry and has a Bachelors of Nursing (BN) Degree from Red River College in Winnipeg, MB. She has extensive experience working with individuals during the most vulnerable times in their lives, and uses both her education and her personal experience to enhance each client's individual experience. She uses therapeutic communication practices with a non-judgemental approach to ensure clients are able to move towards overcoming their complex trauma, live a healthy lifestyle, and thrive in recovery.

Laura is also attuned to the Intermediate Level of Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) and has a primary interest of working with individuals to overcome their self limiting beliefs. She uses a gentle approach to release energy blockages from the body's cellular memory space and uses her education and knowledge of the human body and mind to assist with releasing suppressed negative emotions and self-limiting patterns. She uses her practice to invite empowerment and balance into the cellular memory space with the intention of maximizing ones physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

Charisse Cyr

M.Ed(Counselling), MSW (Candidate)

Charisse is a counsellor and educator with over 20 years of experience in education, student services, school counseling, and mental health support. She holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in Counselling from Brandon University and is currently completing a Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, specializing in Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency.

Charisse is currently a practicum student with Executive Medical Solutions, where she facilitates group counselling sessions that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth. Her clinical practice is guided by trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches, emphasizing safety, collaboration, and empowerment.

Grounded in First Nations traditional teachings, Charisse’s practice emphasizes connection, balance, and cultural identity as integral parts of the healing process. Drawing on her extensive background in education and counselling, she integrates evidence-based interventions with a holistic understanding of individual and community wellbeing. Charisse is committed to fostering healing environments that promote self-awareness, connection, and emotional and spiritual balance.​

Ovide Caribou

Elder, Spiritual Healer

Ovide is a Cree Traditional Fire Keeper and Spiritual Healer who comes from a Northern Manitoba Cree River Society, sovereign to Treaty 6. He practices a ceremonial life and has a deep connection to the land and respect for all that inhabit it. 

​

He follows a peaceful practice and has a unique perspective and insight on traditional treatment modalities to complement and enhance each individual healing journey.  

​

Ovide specializes in providing a profound experience of purification and spiritual renewal during Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, and is passionate about this healing practice.

Asia Bilsky

Somatic Breathwork Practitioner

Asia is a Certified Somatic Breathwork Practitioner with over 3 years of facilitation experience, primarily working with individuals in recovery from C-PTSD and/or addiction.

 

Asia is passionate about helping people shift long-standing beliefs, patterns and habits to help them realize and embody their full power and potential. She believes in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach in implementing breath practices to establish holistic health and wellness.

 

Asia’s education and training includes a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba, Certification in Substance Use and Addictions Nursing Care from the University of British Columbia, multiple certifications from the Polyvagal Institute, as well as certifications in Functional Breath Practices, Pranayama, and Therapeutic Breathwork.

MacKenzie Loewen

Yoga Instructor 

Mackenzie’s teaching is a gradual, steady journey that invites you to uncover your inner fire, strength, and endurance, while also creating space to rest and restore in your body. She challenges her clients in a gentle, subtle way, fostering growth without overwhelm.


Mackenzie has been practicing with Modo Yoga Winnipeg since 2011. She completed her Modo Yoga Level 1 training in 2017 and Modo Flow in 2018, along with additional training in restorative yoga with Leslee Watt, barre with Heather Senderewich, and Girlvana Yoga with Ally Maz. In a past life, Mackenzie was a wedding photographer!
